TCEQ Free "Don't Dump on Texas" Event

A TCEQ sponsored collection event for chemicals, paints and more is being held Wednesday, Oct. 28th TCEQ (Texas Commision on Environmental Quality) is offering the collection event at Road and Bridge Deparment on 2605 N. Guadalupe St., Seguin TX 78155 from 8am-1pm. All Texas residents are welcome.

Accepted materials include:

Pesticide
Herbicide
Insecticide
Fungicide
Rodenticides
Nematicides
Bactericides
Growth regulators
Harvest aid chemicals
Properly rinsed, empty, plastic pesticide containers
Oil/oil filters/grease
Gasoline/diesel fuel
Transmission fluid
Brake fluid
Power steering fluid
Antifreeze
Lead-acid batteries
Paint
Fluorescent bulbs
Pesticides used in livestock.

Not Accepted:

Tires
Radioactive materials
Explosive materials
Fertlizers or nutrient materials that are niether Hazardous nor contain pesticide mixtures
Propane/butane gas cylinders larger than 20 gallons
Biomedical wastes
Ammunition

News Flash - Parks & Recreation
Live 2 SK8 Rally
Celebrate the art and athleticism of skate boarding. Ride the hips and humps, ramps and rails with the areas' most accomplished skaters from noon until 4 p.m. This free event is open to the public.
Located at Ernest Eikel Park, on the corner of Grape & Spur.
Haunted Haus
Experience the chills and fun in the Not-So-Haunted Haus for little ones from 4-6 p.m. and the Haunted Haus for the older set from 6-8 p.m. Fee $5. Pre-register at 830-221-4370.
