Chief Derek Wrenn.  Each shift is commanded by a battalion chief, who is housed at Station 1.  Station 1 also has a captain and lieutenant, every other station has a lieutenant in charge of their respective station.  Every NBFD firefighter is at a minimum dual-certified. That is, they are a certified firefighter and an emergency medical technician.  NBFD firefighters could be called for fire supression for one call and then perform a completely different role on their next call for help as EMS technicians.
