The Animal Control Department provides response for complaints concerning domestic animals, reptiles and livestock.

The Animal Control Officer is responsible for impounding animals that are stray, quarantining animals which have bitten humans, and disposing of dead animals.

This operation is staffed 40 hours a week, with on-call support on an emergency basis only.

Appointments are needed to tour the animal shelter and view the pets available for adoption.
