Goals of Keep DeSoto Beautiful

• To inspire, initiate, plan, direct and coordinate programs for litter control and prevention.
• To encourage the planting and preservation of trees, flowers, plants and shrubbery.
• To promote a cleaner, safer, healthier, and more beautiful community by initiating programs that focus on beautifying streets, lots, yards, neighborhoods, and businesses and industrial sites.
• To stimulate interest and action toward conservation of resources through recycling.

To increase appreciation for our natural environment through: litter awareness, fostering community pride and cooperation, and educating the public on proper disposal of waste.

Community Support

Keep DeSoto Beautiful has been very fortunate to receive community support from businesses and individuals providing the funds to run our existing programs. The corporation actively solicits grant funding.

Keep DeSoto Beautiful received the 2003 Sustained Award of Excellence, and in 2002 won Second Place in the Governor's Community Achievement Award!! Congratulations!
