A Temporary Food Service Establishment is a service of food or beverage at a location for less than ten (10) consecutive days in conjunction with an organized event or celebration. The Health Department permits temporary food service establishments that occur within the City of New Braunfels where food/beverage is offered to the public.

All temporary food facilities must be approved by the Health Department, and applications for temporary food service events must be submitted at least five (5) days prior to the event. If you’re a non profit group you will be required to show proof of non-profit status. Application for a permit to operate does not guarantee that a permit will be granted. Permit approval is based upon compliance with state and local health ordinances, and with other applicable departmental requirements.
