Plat signatures and recordation are the responsibility of the applicant. After notarized owner's signatures are received, the plat must be signed by NBU then brought to the City for signature by the City Engineer, Planning Director, and Planning Commission Chairman.

Counties will require original tax certifications and proof of ownership. Effective September 1, 2005, all taxes must be paid on properties to be recorded after September 1 of each year - see
HB 3101. Comal County has also changed the recordation block. Remove the spaces for Volume and Page Number; all plats will be given a document number only. The Clerk also requires all signatures to be in black ink. Please call the County Clerk with questions.
