Registration

All dogs must be registered with the City. There is a $3.00 annual charge for the registration if your pet is spayed or neutered and $5.00 if not. Proof of rabies vaccination is needed at time of registration

No owner shall have within the city any dog or cat 3 months of age or older unless such dog or cat is currently registered with the City of Krum. A current metal registration tag issued by the City of Krum must be worn by the dog or cat at all times when not confined to the owners premises. No dog or cat shall be registered until it has a current rabies vaccination.

It is unlawful for an owner of any animal to allow or permit an animal to run at large. Animals running at large may be impounded.

Any violation of the Animal Control Ordinance can result in a fine of up to $1,000.00.

Second impound$30.00
Third impound$45.00
Fourth impound$70.00

After the fourth impound it will be up to the animal control officer as to whether the dog is given back to the owner.
