Upcoming Regular Meetings

Regular meetings of the Duncanville City Council are held on the first and third Tuesdays of the month.

Unless otherwise posted, briefing sessions begin at 6 p.m. with the regular meeting beginning at 7 p.m.

Regular meetings are held at Duncanville City Hall, 203 East Wheatland Road, Duncanville, Texas 75116.

Duncanville City Council Members

The Duncanville City Council consists of seven (7) members: the Mayor (elected at large), one council member elected at large, and five councilmembers elected from single member districts.

Council members serve two year terms, expiring on staggered years. Mayor, district 2 and district 4 expire on even-numbered years while the terms of the at-large councilmember and representatives from districts 1, 3 and 5 expire on odd numbered years. City elections are held each May.

Mr. David Green is serving his third term as Mayor following election in May 2004

Mr. Green served as District 1 councilmember from May 2001 through March 2004.

The Mayor is elected at-large from all council districts.

Councilman Ken Weaver -
District 1

Mr. Weaver is in his third term on the Duncanville City Council following election in May of 2004.

District 1 is bordered by Cedar Ridge Road and Santa Fe Trail to the east and the city limits to the north, west and south.

Councilman Scott Cannon-
District 2

Mr. Cannon is in his fourth term on the Duncanville City Council.

District 2 is bordered by Camp Wisdom Road to the north, Cedar Ridge to the west, Main Street to the east and Danieldale Road to the south.

Councilman Anthony Skinner-
District 3

Mr. Skinner was elected to the City Council in 2009. He previously served from 2005 through 2007.

District 3 is bordered by Camp Wisdom Road to the north, Main Street to the west, Cockrell Hill Road to the east and Danieldale Road to the south.

Councilman Skinner's Biography

Councilman Grady W. Smithey, Jr.-
Mayor Pro Tem/District 4

Mr. Smithey was elected to the council in 2008. He previously served from 1984 through 1994 and from 1998 through 2006.

District 4's unique "L" shape is bordered by Wheatland Road to the far north, continuing down Cockrell Hill Road to the west until Danieldale continues a northern boundary out to the city limits which comprise the remainder of the district's boundary on the southern side of the city.

Councilwoman Johnette Jameson - District 5

Mrs. Jameson is in her third term on the Duncanville City Council having been elected in 2005.

District 5 is bordered by the city's boundary to the north, Cedar Ridge to the west, Cockrell Hill Road to the east and (roughly) Camp Wisdom Road to the south.

Mrs. Burton is in her fourth term on the Duncanville City Council.
