Council Member Jim Avioli, Sr. was elected in November of 2007 to serve his first term. He graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Jim is an active community member and retired business executive whose career spanned 45 years with the Transco /Williams Companies. Among his many professional accomplishments, he was the national chairman for the Williams Cos. United Way campaign. Mr. Avioli has recently served as a member of the Bellaire Charter Review Committee and the Bellaire Board of Adjustments, and maintains an on-going interest in City projects and government. His community activities include volunteer work at Southwest Memorial Hermann Hospital, Condit and Corpus Christi Schools, and Holy Ghost Catholic Church, as well as membership of Elks Lodge #151.

Jim and wife Dolores (Dee) are long-time residents of Bellaire and have four adult children, two of which reside in Bellaire with their families.
