Deadlines Approaching for Third Quarter Veteran Workforce Summary Reports [posted 10/02/09]
Oct. 15 is the maintenance/corrections deadline for the Third Quarter Veteran Workforce Summary Reports (July 1 – Sept. 30). Copies of the quarterly reports will be sent via electronic file transfer (EFT) on Oct. 16. The electronic acknowledgement form and complaints report must be submitted by Oct. 23. Comptroller Recommends Changing Payroll Dates On or Before Columbus Day Holiday [posted 10/02/09]
Although all state agencies will be open on Columbus Day (Monday, Oct. 12), it is a federal holiday and all banks will be closed. The Comptroller's office is changing all Automated Clearing House (ACH) files with a tax deposit date of Oct. 12 to Oct. 13. This means taxes for payrolls dated Oct. 9 through 12 will not be transmitted until Oct. 13. To avoid an IRS penalty for late payments, the Comptroller's office strongly recommends that state agencies not process payrolls with payment dates of Oct. 9 or Oct. 12.
