Office of Administrative Services
This office provides human resources, financial administration, administrative audits, financial assurance, computer resources, and facilities support and maintenance to the TCEQ.
Office of Compliance and Enforcement
This office oversees agency enforcement, emergency response, dam safety, monitoring activities, and the operation of 16 regional offices across the state.
Office of Legal Services
This office manages the agency's legal and litigation coordination services and provides general legal services for TCEQ operations.
Office of Permitting and Registration
This office oversees all aspects of environmental permitting and registration and reporting for certain facilities.
Office of the Chief Engineer
This office advises agency management regarding technical and policy matters, and oversees air quality planning, surface water quality planning and management, the agency's participation in coastal bay protection programs, and notification to well owners when contamination may be affecting their water wells.
Office of the Commissioners
The TCEQ has three commissioners, who are appointed by the Governor.
Office of the Executive Director
The executive director, who is hired by the commissioners, is responsible for managing the agency's day-to-day operations, including strategic planning and budgeting.
