Physical Activity Spotlight on a Texan

Mark Stine

Imagine spending six months traveling through the great state of Texas by bike.  That is exactly what Mark Stine of the Texas Bicycle Coalition did from June though November 2005.  He used this time to explore El Camino Real and other famous Texas historic routes by bicycle (such as cattle drive trails and forts trails).  Mark is photographed here on Galveston Island while riding along Cabeza de Vaca’s route.  See this site for additional information about his journey:
