Privacy Policy
The Railroad Commission (RRC) has established this privacy policy
to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses
our information gathering
and dissemination practices for Kids World Site.
We use your Internet Protocol (IP) address to help diagnose problems
with our server, and to administer our Web site. IP addresses are
logged to give us an idea of which parts of our site users are visiting.
We do not link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable.
This means that a user's session can be tracked, but the user will
be anonymous.
Children's Guidelines
1. We do NOT collect online contact information without prior
parental consent or parental notification, which will include an
opportunity for the parent to prevent use of the information and
participation in the activity. Without prior parental consent, online
information will only be used to respond directly to the child's
request and will not under any circumstance be used for other purposes.

under any circumstance without prior parental consent

We will not market the information under any circumstances.
4. We do NOT give the ability to publicly post or otherwise distribute
personally identifiable contact information under any circumstance
without prior parental consent
5. We do NOT entice by the prospect of a special game, prize or
other activity, to divulge more information than is needed to participate
in the activity
6. The information that we collect will be retained and maintained
as required by Texas records retention laws (Government Code Section
441.180 et seq) and rules. Different types of information are required
to be kept for different periods of time.
7. Please be aware that all information accessible to a state agency
is presumed to be public, subject to specific exceptions in the
Public Information Act (Chapter 552 of the Texas Government Code).
Further, we comply with Senate Bill 694 and House Bill 2589 of the
Seventy-seventh Legislature, which requires that an e-mail address
of a member of the public that is provided for the purpose of communicating
electronically with a governmental body, such as the RRC, be kept
CONFIDENTIAL unless the member of the public (which includes parents
or legal guardians of minors) consents to its release. Information
submitted to the agency may be revealed pursuant to a request made
under that Act. Information that could identify an individual student
is protected from public disclosure by the Family Education Rights
and Privacy Act, 20 U.S.C. 1232g. The agency will not release information
that would identify an individual student except in conformance
with that Act.
Unauthorized attempts to upload information or change information
on this server are strictly prohibited. Unauthorized use, tampering
with or modification of this system - including supporting hardware
or software - may subject the violator to criminal and civil penalties.
In the event of unauthorized intrusion, all relevant information
regarding possible violations of law may be provided to law enforcement
officials.
This site contains links to other sites. The Railroad Commission
is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such
