Fall 2009 SmartScape Gardening Classes

The City of Mansfield is pleased to announce its Fall line up of SmartScape Classes to be held every Thursday night in October at the Mansfield Activity Center.

Fall 2009 Household Hazardous Waste Collection

The Fall HHW collection will be held at City Hall on October 17 beginning at 9 am. Space is limited, so get here early to be sure you get a spot. We can only commit to serving the first 100 vehicles to arrive. Everyone after that will depend on available space.

Remember that Mansfield residents can visit the Fort Worth Environmental Collection Center located at 6400 Bridge St. in Fort Worth during their normal business hours for a dropoff. No voucher is required, but you will need to show proof of residency, usually a utility bill. You can call the ECC information line at 817-392-3279 for details on acceptable items, and hours. Contact Howard Redfearn at 817-276-4240 for more information about the collection event.

2009 Creekside Cleanup And Cookout

The 4th Annual Creekside Cleanup and Cookout is just around the corner. On October 3rd we will meet at Serenity Gardens, 1531 E. Broad St. beginning at 9 a.m. to clean up the area around the park.

We hope to be able to cleanup from E. Broad St. to Magnolia St. In order for that happen, we will need a lot of volunteers to come out and give a hand. If you are interested, you can visit this webpage for more information, including a factsheet about the cleanup and download registration forms.
