The Mayor issued a proclamation declaring October 5-9, 2009 as Public Power week in Boerne. The Boerne Utilities Customer Service Office will be working throughout the entire month of October to educate customers about energy conservation. | Main Street Lane Closures - 9 pm to 6 amThe City has received notification from TXDOT that work will continue next week on Main Street. From Sunday night, October 4 through Thursday night, October 9, one lane in each direction will be closed between 9 PM and 6 AM from Rosewood to Lohmann. City crews may be working in the area during the day to relocated utilities. Please use caution, allow yourself a little extra time, or take a different route. |

| City Boards and Commissions VacanciesMayor Dan Heckler is accepting applications from Boerne and Kendall County residents interested in serving on City Council appointed Boards. There is currently one (1) vacany on the Library Advisory Board resulting from a Board member resignation. Due to transitioning the Hotel/Motel Tax Advisory Board to a Convention and Visitors Bureau Advisory Board , there are at least 4 vacancies. The CVB Advisory Board appointees should have experience in retail business, the restaurant/hospitality industry or marketing or advertising. Applications are due in the Mayor's office at City Hall by Tuesday, October 13 and apppointments will be made at the October 27 City Council meeting. Click here to download an application. |

| Wastewater Treatment Facility - Community MeetingThe City of Boerne will host another community meeting to answer questions and get feedback on the design of the new Wastewater Treatment and Water Recycling Center to be built on Old San Antonio Road.
