Online Application for New Licenses

Welcome! Use this site to apply for a new Texas Racing Commission license.

There are simple steps to submit your license application online.

1. Answer pre-qualifying questions.
2. Enter requested information.
3. Review entered information.
4. Pay the licensing fee(s) using one of the following:
   • MasterCard
   • Visa
   • Discover
   • American Express
   • Electronic Check
5. View and print your receipt.
6. Print out the online addendum form, fill in the appropriate sections, and mail or fax it to the Racing Commission within 21 calendar days from the day the online application is submitted (if required). Please refer to the list of license types to determine if you are required to submit an online addendum form.

An online license could take several days to process. If a license is required within 3 business days, please contact the Racing Commission.

The State of Texas defines an "occupational license" to mean "a license, certificate, registration, permit, or other form of authorization, including a renewal of the authorization, that a person must obtain to practice or engage in a particular business, occupation, or profession; or a facility must obtain before a particular business, occupation, or profession is practiced or engaged in within the facility". The use of the term "license" within this application is used as a blanket substitute for the terms certificate, registration, permit, or other form of authorization. Its use does not modify any rights, authorities, or responsibilities as provided for under the original document type.
