Kills and Spills Team (K.A.S.T.)
What does the Kills and Spills Team (KAST) do?
The KAST assumes four key responsibilities:- Respond to fish and wildlife kills and pollution incidents.
- Minimize environmental degradation resulting from pollution incidents and fish and wildlife kills.
- Obtain compensation, repair, and restoration for environmental damage.
- Help explain relationships between water quality, habitat, and living organisms.
Who makes up the Kills and Spills Team?
KAST is made up of Texas Parks and Wildlife pollution biologists in five regions across Texas.
