The mission of Communities In Schools (CIS) of Texas is to help young people of Texas stay in school, successfully learn, and prepare for life by coordinating the connection of needed community resources in the school setting.
CIS engaged students in learning through a wide range of services, including:
Supportive guidance, counseling;
Tutoring, academic enrichment;
College preparation, pre-employment training;
Mentoring and adult advocates; and
Parental involvement, assistance with basic needs.
