Directions

From IH-35, take Highway 183 south approximately three miles to Highway 290. Take Hwy. 290 east approximately four miles and exit at Old Highway 20. Turn right onto FM 973 and travel one block to Carrie Manor Road. Travel two blocks to the entrance to the Southeast Rural Center. The park is on the north side of the center.

Description

 Ben E. Fisher Park lies in northeastern Travis County in the Town of Manor, approximately seven miles east of Austin. This small rural park is primarily open grassland dotted with a few large trees. Gilliland Creek runs through the northwest corner of the park. The park features one small playscape, two basketball courts, a volleyball court, a short walking path and a covered shelter that can be reserved.

Ben E. Fisher Park, the only public park within close proximity to the northeast Travis County community, sits adjacent to the East Rural Neighborhood Center & Health Clinic. The community center offers local residents a variety of emergency and medical services, as well as youth and senior activities. For information, call (512) 272-5561.

Shelters

One covered group shelter with lights and electrical outlets can be reserved up to one year in advance.  Shelter rental fees are required for Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Holidays. Shelter usage is free Monday through Thursday).

Fees must be paid at the time you make your reservation.
Visitors who wish to reserve a shelter may call (512) 854-PARK (7275) Monday through Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm to check on availability; however, no reservation are taken by phone. Shelter fees may be paid by mail; however, to guarantee the date of your reservation, we recommend that you come to our head quarters and pay at: 1010 Lavaca, 3rd Floor, Austin, TX 78701

Special Notes

Day use only park. Ground fires are prohibited in all day use parks. Glass containers and fireworks are prohibited in all Travis County Parks.
