The two-story High-Bay Structural Testing Facility

Research Facilities

The A&M System, headquartered in College Station, Texas, is the base of operations for The Texas Transportation Institute (TTI). As such, researchers may call on the prestigious Sterling C. Evans Library and Texas A&M University's world-class computing resources to support them in their research endeavors. Laboratories, buildings and outdoor test beds are ample and progressive. A 85,640-square foot building on the main campus (The CE/TTI Building) houses a large portion of TTI and interconnects to several extensive laboratory and office buildings. The Riverside Campus (a 2,000-acre complex about 10 miles from the main campus) and the Gibb Gilchrist Building (located in the Texas A&M University Research Park) are the other major locations for both research personnel and cutting edge research and testing equipment. TTI's urban offices operate real-world implementation testing sites in six cities across the state.

Recently, TTI has entered a unique, academic-industry collaboration to acquire access to the Pecos Research & Testing Center (RTC), a 5,800-acre facility in Pecos, Texas.
