qualifying life event (QLE)
Event that allows you to make changes to GBP and TexFlex elections. Some examples of a QLE: - SKIP approval,
- Leave of absence,
- Return from leave, and
- Family Status Change, such as:
- marriage,
- divorce, or
- birth
Benefit changes must be made within 31 days of the event, and evidence of insurability (EOI) may be required. This is also referred to as a family status change.
