Welcome to the City of The Colony's website.  We have established this site as a means of providing the citizens of The Colony and visitors a wealth of information on our  "City by the Lake".

From city services to leisure activities, business and play, it's all here!   We are a community of neighbor helping neighbor, of residents volunteering their energy for community activities, of quiet, tree-lined streets with the shorelines of Lake Lewisville in our backyard.  The Colony offers up a home-town feel with big-city advantages not far away.  We are conveniently located just thirty-five minutes from downtown Dallas and the DFW airport is less than a twenty-five minute drive.

2009 - 2010 Tax Rate
The Colony adopted a tax rate that will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last year’s tax rate. The tax rate will raise taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $2.30.

The tax rate adopted by Council is $.688 per $100 valuation.
