Online Renewals - Important!

Because of the recent fee change, the online renewal system will only recognize the increased fee amount.  In order for those whose expiration dates are September 30 or before to benefit from the lower fee amount, a renewal by mail will be necessary. Those whose expiration dates are October 1 or after may use the online system to renew.

Fee Increase

TBPG adopted an amendment to raise certain licensing fees, which became effective September 8, 2009.  For more information, please see the Current Fee Schedule.  To view the adopted amendment, please see the 9/4/09 issue of the Texas Register at www.sos.state.tx.us.

 

Specifics regarding the Fee Increase:

  • New applications for P.G. licensure, firm registration or sole proprietor registration received or postmarked after September 7, 2009 will require payment of the new fee.

  • Fees for P.G. license renewals and firm registration renewals that expire on or before September 30, 2009 will be renewed at the old fee (plus the late penalty, if applicable).

  • Fees for P.G. license renewals and firm registration renewals that expire on or after October 1, 2009 will be renewed at the new fee (plus the late penalty, if applicable).

    Reciprocity Agreements

    TBPG has achieved two reciprocity agreements:

    Alabama Reciprocity Agreement

      Mississippi Reciprocity Agreement

    TBPG looks forward to facilitating agreements with other states as well.

     

    Memorandum of Understanding

    An updated Memorandum of Understanding/PDF (MOU)* has been adopted between the Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists and the Texas Board of Professional Engineers to address overlapping jurisdictions.
