What's New at CHS

The 2003 edition of Selected Health Facts reports on available county-level information for state officials, planners, other policy makers and grant writers. Page 1 contains information on Demography, Socioeconomic Indicators, Medicaid, Natality, Communicable Diseases, and Mortality for Texas, its regions and counties. Or follow the "Texas Health Facts" link on the sidebar at left, under "<< CHS Reports >>". The 2003 edition has been limited to the page one information. The normal two-page reporting will be resumed for the 2004 edition, now in preparation.

The Center for Nursing Workforce Studies has published a new report: Increasing RN Graduates--Admission, Progression and Graduation in Texas Schools of Nursing--2004   Student enrollments have steadily increased over the last four years, but schools face challenges having sufficient faculty to handle the increased enrollment.
