The Cardiovascular Health and Wellness Program provides technical assistance, training and consultation on the development of policy and environmental change strategies to decrease risk factors for heart disease and stroke and increase chances for people in Texas to establish a heart and stroke healthy lifestyle. Targeted sites include worksites, schools, food establishments, communities and health care settings.

Texas Plan to Reduce Cardiovascular Disease and StrokeThe Texas Council on Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke presents its strategic plan for cardiovascular disease and stroke prevention and treatment. The plan focuses on four key strategies: (1) Surveillance, Data and Outcome Management, (2) Health Education and Outreach, (3) Community Policy and Environmental Changes, and (4) Clinical Prevention and Treatment Services.
