About This Site

The redesigned TxDOT Web site is centered around the needs of our users - citizens, businesses, travelers and other government agencies. The new site is laid out topically, creating an easier to navigate experience and making it simpler to locate the information you're seeking. Information can be found through our topic areas, an enhanced search engine or through the site map.

Each page has the topics listed across the top and each area has its own unique left-hand navigation that will allow users to access the most high-traffic pages from any page in the topic. The top navigation is the primary way to move around the site and links the topics together. The side navigation is unique to each topic and takes the accessibility of each topic's home page and places it on every page in the section. Topic areas include:
