Energy Management and Conservation Plan
Executive Order RP-49, implemented on October 27, 2005, requires state agencies and institutes of higher education to present a plan for reducing consumption of electricity, motor fuels and natural gas. The Texas Transportation Institute's Energy Management and Conservation Plan [PDF] documents various initiatives implemented which have reduced energy, water and fuel consumption and ensure employee awareness in related areas.
