- The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation has filed a notice of intent to review and consider for re-adoption, revision, or repeal rules for: Combative Sports, Temporary Common Worker Employers, Auctioneers, Elimination of Architectural Barriers, Elevators, Escalators, and Related Equipment, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration and Talent Agencies.
- Applications for the Polygraph Advisory Committee, the Tax Professional Advisory Committee and the Used Automotive Parts Recycling Advisory Board are all online.

- TDLR Celebrates its Centennial Year!
- A contract for occupational license examination services was awarded on 6/17/2009 to PSI Services LLC with an effective date of 9/1/2009. The initial term expires on 8/31/2011. There are two optional renewal periods for 9/1/11 through 8/31/2013 and 9/1/2013 through 8/31/2015. The contract resulted from Request for Proposals 452-9-442 and subsequent evaluations and negotiations.

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) is a state regulatory agency that currently oversees over twenty types of businesses, industries, trades and occupations. The agency is responsible for issuing licenses, conducting inspections, investigating complaints, assessing penalties, setting rules and standards and holding hearings.
