Enhancements

TG routinely reviews its products to add flexibility, efficiency, and convenience to student loan processes and meet regulatory requirements. As part of that process, TG surveys schools and lenders, requesting suggestions and feedback. In this way, TG develops products that serve the needs of customers and reflect their priorities.

AdvanTG Web enhanced
TG has enhanced its AdvanTG Web™ import tool, enabling users to import up to 20 files at once. AdvanTG Web's import tool also provides asynchronous import, allowing users to continue working while the import process runs in the background.

AdvanTG Web change transaction management
A new change transaction menu with a more user-friendly interface makes pertinent loan information easily accessible. Loan information is displayed at the top of each detail screen with an "expand/collapse" functionality to minimize scrolling.

Other enhancements include:

  • Changing from CommonLine terminology to plain language;
  • Consolidating numerous transactions onto a new Change/Add Disbursement screen where:
    • 12 individual transactions from the previous change transaction main menu can be completed on one screen, and
    • The steps required for a re-allocation procedure are combined onto one screen;
  • Creating a new mass hold/release feature which applies to all loans in a school's AdvanTG Web database and provides the ability to filter criteria; and
  • Adding the ability to create change transactions from an application or disbursement roster record.

Improving flexibility and security for TG Loans By Web™
Flexibility has been added to TG Loans By Web™ to allow loan application data to be transmitted to any combination of school, FFELP lender, and guarantor. Borrowers can be transferred to TG Loans By Web from another lender or servicer Web site. TG Loans By Web will capture the school and lender ID. TG Loans By Web also:

  • Provides a new borrower registration process, which helps improve borrower security;
  • Seamlessly routes borrowers to the correct location for e-signature, regardless of provider, and
  • Offers the ability to display a school's recommended lender list for all loans including private loans.

Enhancing the borrower-initiated request process
Schools that direct borrowers to TG Loans By Web to request a loan will see several process improvements.

  • Borrowers are now able to transfer from another lender or servicer Web site to TG Loans By Web. In the process, TG Loans By Web will capture the school and lender ID transferred as attributes in the Web address.
  • In completing a request, borrowers will now be notified about the status of an application and learn which institution — school, lender, servicer, or guarantor — will take the next step in the process. The message screen layout has also been redesigned.
  • On subsequent visits to TG Loans By Web, borrowers will have access to information they submitted as well as an on-screen message listing the status of the application.
  • Borrowers awaiting a final processing decision are able to reprint or e-sign their note.

Integrated Default Assistant™ (IDA™) incorporates customer feedback
An enhanced version of its default management tool for TG loans, the Integrated Default Assistant™ (IDA™) offers schools and lenders an online, interactive application for tracking and managing their TG cohort default rate performance.

Based on customer feedback, TG recently added features to IDA which:

  • Provide the ability to forecast a three-year cohort default rate for the institution's TG loans,
  • Help distinguish which delinquent borrowers are most likely to affect an institution's cohort default rate, and
  • Provide schools the ability to generate letters in English and Spanish. Choices include Spanish only, English only, or a combination with one side in English and the other in Spanish.
