After Normal State Business Hours & Weekend Event Parking for: Nonprofit, Charitable, and other community organizations

Nonprofit, charitable, and other community organizations may apply to temporarily lease or use state-owned parking lots and garages for events located in the city of Austin for a fee, free of charge or at a reduced rate.

If your organization would like to lease or use parking spaces for events after hours or weekends in a state-owned lot or garage, please download and submit the “Request Waiver for Reduce or Free Parking” form (NOT INTENDED FOR TAILGATE RESERVATION SPACE REQUESTS) to the Commercial Parking and Events Division at the Texas Facilities Commission.

Applications are considered on a first come, first served basis.

For the application to be considered timely, the application request must be submitted at least 30 days prior to the proposed event.

Forms can be submitted by U.S. Mail, Fax, or E-mail to Debbie Simecek.

When completing your form, be sure to complete all of the questions in the Yellow shade boxes. If your organization is an IRS recognized 501, you need to submit a copy of your IRS Letter and Tax ID Number.
