Overview of the TCEQ: The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) is the environmental agency for the state. The TCEQ has approximately 2,900 employees, 16 regional offices, and a $522.7 million operating budget for the 2009 fiscal year (including both baseline and contingency appropriations).
