The City of Gainesville adopted a tax rate that will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last year’s tax rate.
The tax rate will effectively be raised by 29.42 percent and will raise taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $96.77. |

Community Cookbooks Now Available |

In keeping with Mayor Glenn Loch's "Take Pride in Gainesville" initiative, the City of Gainesville employees and City residents have contributed recipes for the community-wide cookbook, "Gainesville Favorites - Food, Family, and Friends". The recipe book is a fundraising project to help purchase a 4-dial Victorian Style Clock to be placed in Heritage Park. The recipe book contains over 400 fantastic tried and true recipes from all over the community - many of them take less than 30 minutes to prepare and use ingredients already in your kitchen! This is a perfect gift for your family and friends! Recipe books are available for purchase at City Hall and the Civic Center for $15.95 plus tax. Call 940-668-4500 for more information. |
