  • Texas Educator/Teacher Credentials for public schools

    The State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) issues educator credentials for use in the Texas Public Schools (Pre-K through grade 12). Here you can find information about certification requirements, application procedures, processes, and fees related to issuance of an initial educator credential and the renewal of educator credentials. All applications and status requests are initiated through the SBEC-Online system. All approved Texas educator preparation programs and schools districts are connected and participate in this approach that allows SBEC to provide more efficient, timely, and accurate administration of the entire credentialing process, resulting in improved service to the educator.

    Support the future of Texas by making a donation to the Texas Match the Promise Foundation to help Texas families save for their children's college education through the Texas Tuition Promise Fund, the state's prepaid tuition plan.

  • Texas Tuition Promise Fund

    The Texas Tuition Promise Fund is a Section 529 prepaid tuition plan. It allows you to lock in the cost of undergraduate college tuition and required fees at public colleges and universities in Texas, protecting you against future tuition inflation.  With the Texas Tuition Promise Fund, you buy tuition units, that represent a fixed amount of resident tuition and required fees. When your child is ready for college, the type of tuition units you choose cover all or a portion of the tuition and required fees at all four- or two-year public colleges and universities in Texas. Enrollment is open from September 1st through February 28th of each year.

    The Texas Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) has launched a new e-initiative for registering and paying for training online. A member of The Texas A&M University System, TEEX continues its mission of developing highly skilled and educated workers and enhancing public safety, health and the economic growth of the state through training, continuing education and technology transfer. TEEX training and service programs include anti-terrorism, fire protection, emergency response and rescue, emergency medical services, law enforcement, water and wastewater, transportation, career technology, marine, occupational safety, environmental, electric power, economic development, manufacturing technology, and telecommunications.
