To foster better communication between Mariachi educators and to promote wider appreciation for Mariachi music, the Texas Music Office is currently interviewing Mariachi professionals throughout the state. Below are some of the results of our efforts.

Two ways to learn mariachi: either we meet once a week and participation is voluntary, and/or we offer a seventh period class with a current enrollment of eight students.

We participate at UIL in the Medium Ensemble division. We have also performed at the festival in McAllen.

Perform at school events? no

Suppliers include: If they are violins players, they are in the orcherta program as well, and they own their own instruments. The other instruments such as guitarron, vihuela and guitars are provided by the school. We use Melhart's in McAllen mostly.
H&H and Melharts.
