What is the Agricultural Water Conservation Loan Program?

As a result of Senate Bill 1053, passed by the 78 th Texas Legislature, the Texas Water Development Board's (TWDB) agricultural water conservation program has been expanded to provide three methods of assistance. Under the new consolidated Agriculture Water Conservation Loan Program, the TWDB can:
  • provide agricultural water conservation loans to political subdivisions and state agencies for their use either for improvements on their facilities or as loans to individuals.
  • provide a linked deposit loan program for individuals to access TWDB funds through participating local state depository banks and farm credit institutions.

What is the Loan Application Process?

Applications to the Texas Water Development Board Applicants may be submitted at any time and will be processed in the order they are received, but are subject to the available of funds. An applicant must file an application consistent with application guidelines through the Project Finance and Construction Assistance.
