The Clerk's Office is responsible for docketing all cases, ensuring that the rules governing filings and the filing requirements are followed, collecting fees, issuing orders and opinions, and helping licensed attorneys with name changes and certificates of good standing. The Clerk's office also maintains the Court's Administrative Orders. Each Friday morning, the Clerk's Office releases the Weekly Event Report which lists filings and briefing requests for that week. If the Court requests briefs on the merits in a case, all briefs filed in the Supreme Court will also be requested in electronic format and they will be posted to the website on the Electronic Briefing page. The Clerk's Office also serves the Multidistrict Litigation Panel.
