In December 2002, NOAA and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued a memorandum clarifying agency policy on overlap of 6217 Coastal Nonpoint Programs with Phase I and II Stormwater regulations. This memo describes what management measures are no longer required in a state's coastal NPS program because they are covered under EPA's Phase I or II Stormwater rules. Useful links to help with implementing the Coastal Nonpoint Source Pollution Control Program Past Projects funded under the Coastal Nonpoint Source Pollution Control Program On July 3, 2003, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration granted Conditional Approval to the Texas Coastal Nonpoint Source Pollution Program (NPS). Texas has five years to meet the five remaining conditions to gain full approval of the program:
The NPS Work Group has developed a list of potential options that will be used to address the remaining conditions and submitted it to NOAA and EPA for approval. Based on information submitted in 2008, NOAA and EPA aproved the hydromodification condition. For additional information, please visit the Program Approval Findings at NOAA's Coastal Nonpoint Pollution Control Program. The Texas Coastal Nonpoint Source Pollution Control Program consists of two volumes. Volume I (available below) presents the program and response to public comments. Volume II (not yet available online) contains a list of the applicable laws, regulations, and programs which will be used to carry out the program. December
