Welcome to the Response to Intervention (RtI) Website. This site will provide you with information about new and ongoing developments related to RtI. This guidance document along with its interactive version
(found at: http://www.tea.state.tx.us/curriculum/RtI/RiIGuidanceDocument.pdf) has been compiled with extensive contributions from the Response to Intervention Coordinating Council (RtICC) whose members represent the stakeholders for whom we hope this document will serve as a resource.

Response to Intervention Coordinating Council (RtICC) Guidance document

This 2008-2009 Response to Intervention Guidance document was created by the Response to Intervention Coordinating Council (RtICC) as a resource to you. The layout of this document is such that you can print it as a complete booklet for easy reference. An interactive version of this document can be found in the Question and Answer (Q&A) section of this website.


Question and Answer (Q&A) Section

The Question and Answer section (Q&A) has been created as a time-saving, interactive reference tool for you. In addition to answering specific RtI questions, it provides the reader with a more detailed description of commonly used RtI terms. Links to websites specific to the topic are also provided. Those terms printed in red are hyperlinked to more information.


Funding Guidance

A funding guidance table is currently being developed through coordination among several divisions of the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and in collaboration with the Response to Intervention Coordinating Council (RtICC) and will be made available on this website soon.


Education Service Center Support/Contacts

Education Service Centers (ESCs) have Response to Intervention (RtI) support staff who work with the Local Education Agencies (LEAs) to provide support with RtI implementation. A list of all regional ESC RtI support staff and contact information is provided in this section.

The following web-based resources have been listed as an additional resource for you.


Models

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) in collaboration with the Response to Intervention Coordinating Council (RtICC) is in the planning phase of collecting RtI anecdotes from the field. More information will be available soon on how school districts can provide descriptions of their RtI models.
