CRESS: Cancer Registry Electronic Submission System

What is CRESS?

The Texas Cancer Registry has developed the Cancer Registry Electronic Submission System, or CRESS for short, to support web-based submissions of data files in the North American Association of Central Cancer Registries (NAACCR) format. This system will simplify the submission process and reduce the need for diskette-based submissions.

Data Security to Protect Confidentiality

To ensure that your data submissions cannot be intercepted or decrypted by anyone other than the Texas Cancer Registry, all data files are encrypted and protected using VeriSign SSL encryption software. Upon entering our CRESS system, your data files are automatically directed to the secure server and all information transmitted is encrypted. This automatic process requires no action on the part of the cancer reporter.

Please DO NOT include confidential patient information in the comments section of the CRESS transmittal form.
