Victim Support & Community Education

The Victim Services Division is dedicated to the task of providing training for victim assistance programs throughout the state, including community programs, religious organizations, law enforcement agencies and anyone else desiring to work with victims.  The training will be personalized to fit organizational needs.  Please feel free to contact us concerning your program’s specific needs. If you are interested in sponsoring training in your area, contact the Victim Support & Community Education at 1-800-848-4284. There is no charge for these workshops.

Victim Services has expanded to work with the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, Inc. to provide training in Individual Peer Support Intervention for TDCJ. Since June, 2006, 1504 TDCJ employees have been trained to assist others in crisis.

Training updates will be posted on this TDCJ Web page.

Attendees may earn continuing education credit as approved by TCLEOSE, TDCJ Staff Development, Community Justice Assistance Division, Texas Juvenile Probation Commission, Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners, and Texas Board of Examiners of Licensed Professional Counselors.
