Databases that cover a wide variety of subjects for the laymen, student, researcher, or librarian. Available to registered card holders of participating Texas libraries. Access to the databases is also available from your home or office. Selected Indexes of Archival Holdings

Confederate Pension Applications (Searchable Index)
This Index provides the names, county of residence, and pension number of some 54,634 approved, rejected, and home pensions issued by the Texas government between 1899 and 1975.

State Archives Map Collection (Searchable Database)
The Texas State Archives Map Collection contains original, photoreproduced, and compiled maps covering the period from the early seventeenth through the late twentieth centuries.

Local Records (Index)
Most of the county records listed in the index are from the offices of the county and district clerks, with some records from the offices of the county superintendent of schools and the county tax assessor-collector.

Republic of Texas Claims (Searchable Database)
The Republic Claims series of Comptroller's records includes claims for payment, reimbursement, or restitution submitted by citizens to the Republic of Texas government from 1835 through 1846. It also includes records relating to Republic pensions and claims against the Republic submitted as public debt claims after 1846.

Service Records (Searchable Index)
The Service Records Series combines both official service record files from the Adjutant General's Office and alphabetical files created by other agencies which contain records related to an individual's service in a military unit.
