The goals of the BPI Project are: To optimize agency processes in order to improve the level of customer service and to ensure the efficient use of resources for the benefit of all workers' compensation system participants; and accomplish the requirements of HB 2511.

The overriding goal of the BPI Project is to improve and streamline agency processes and applications through the use of advanced technology and tools, as appropriate, to:

  • Better facilitate policy and decision-making in administering the Texas Workers' Compensation Act and rules.
  • Eliminate unnecessary redundancies in agency operations.
  • Increase agency effectiveness, efficiency, and accountability.
