mail order pharmacy

Pharmacy that provides home delivery services for a health plan’s prescription mail order program, such as Caremark, which provides mail order services for HealthSelect.

maintenance drug

Prescription drug listed in a health plan’s formulary as a maintenance drug. These drugs are usually taken on a regular basis and carry a higher copayment if purchased at a retail pharmacy.

Only drugs designated as maintenance drugs in a health plan’s formulary are subject to the additional cost, regardless of the how often a participant takes the drug.

Medicaid

A federal and state funded health coverage program that pays certain medical expenses for those who meet income and other eligibility requirements.

Medical Support Order (MSO)

A court order directing you to provide health coverage for a designated child or spouse. Also see National Medical Support Notice (NMSN).

Medicare

A federal government health insurance plan that pays health care costs for retired persons age 65 and over.

member

An individual that contributes or contributed in the past to the:

  • ERS Retirement Program
  • CPO/CO Supplemental Retirement Program
  • Elected Class Retirement program
  • Judicial Retirement System I, or
  • Judicial Retirement System II,

and has not request a withdrawal of funds.

minimal optional life

Retiree life insurance option of a $10,000 life insurance policy.
