Evaluation of Grant Programs and Key Education Initiatives
The Program Evaluation Unit in the Office for Planning, Grants and Evaluation is responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of education grant programs funded through the Discretionary Grants and Formula Funding divisions, as well as other education initiatives funded by the state Legislature and the U.S. Department of Education. Reports related to the effectiveness of programs targeting students in at-risk situations (i.e., the Optional Extended Year Program, the Texas After-School Program, and the Ninth Grade Success Initiative, teacher training activities for reading, math, and science, and other evaluations) are currently available to download.

Grant Expenditure
Reporting (ER)
The Texas Education Agency (TEA) utilizes a web-based
expenditure reporting (ER) system for reporting grant
expenditures. This system is used for both formula and
discretionary grants. Users are able to access "real-time"
information on the status of their payments and have
access to comments TEA makes with regard to particular
payments requests.
