Motorcycle License Plates

One license plate is issued per motorcycle. Eligibility requirements, guidelines, fees and applications vary by specialty plate type. The specialty plate fee must be paid yearly.

Special License Plate

College for all Texans

From the $30 specialty plate fee, $22 goes to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to fund the College for all Texans campaign. The annual specialty license plate fee is charged in addition to the regular registration fee [pdf, 1 page, 943kb] and any other applicable fees.
