AN ACT

relating to the authority of a school district board of trustees to |

|
create a criminal offense for violation of a district policy. |
|
�
|
�������BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
�
|
�������SECTION�1.��Section 37.102(c), Education Code, is amended to |
|
�
|
read as follows: |
|
�
|
�������(c)��A person who violates [this subchapter or] any rule |
|
�
|
adopted under this subchapter providing for the operation and |
|
�
|
parking of vehicles on school property commits an offense. An |
|
�
|
offense under this section is a Class C misdemeanor. |
|
�
|
�������SECTION�2.��This Act takes effect September 1, 2007. |
