Access and Visitation Help

Access and Visitation Directory

The Access and Visitation online directory is a compilation of community services available to families to facilitate shared parenting after separation or divorce. The directory includes supervised visitation centers, mediation, co-parenting education, parenting coordination, legal services for enforcement, and neutral pick-up and drop-off centers throughout Texas.

The Office of the Attorney General does not endorse the service providers listed in the directory of Access and Visitation community resources. The list is provided for informational purposes only. Those interested in the services listed here should determine for themselves whether the providers and their services are suitable for their needs.

Parenting Order Legal Clinic (POLC)

The Child Support Division, in collaboration with the Texas Access to Justice Foundation, is pleased to announce the availability of Parenting Order Legal Clinics (POLC). These free legal clinics are offered each month in the evening in over 30 locations across Texas. Attorneys experienced in family law are available to address parents' access and visitation concerns. Parents are encouraged to bring their court orders with them so attorneys can offer relevant information about attendees' orders and how to comply with them.

In a town hall setting, attorneys will provide:

  • general information about possession orders;
  • an explanation of complex legal terms included in most possession orders;
  • requirements for changing an order; and
  • local resources to help with visitation concerns.

The first POLC site rolled out in June 2008 and is available in many locations statewide. Childcare and/or Spanish interpreters are provided on request. Find the clinic nearest you.
