Aubrey Russell
Member
Aubrey Russell, of Panhandle, Texas, was elected to serve on the Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board in May 2003, representing State District 1. Russell was re-elected in May 2005 and May 2007 to serve successive two-year terms on the Board. Russell previously served four years on the Association of Texas Soil and Water Conservation Districts Board of Directors as vice president and director of Area 1. Russell runs farming and ranching operations in Carson and Roberts Counties. He raises corn, milo and soybeans, as well as operates a stocker cattle ranching operation.

- August 2003, elected Vice Chairman of the Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board.
- Former Area I Director on the Association of Texas Soil and Water Conservation Districts Board of Directors serving as vice president from 2000 to 2003.
- Former member of the McClellan Creek Soil and Water Conservation District Board for 33 years, 16 years as chairman.
- Member of the National Association of Conservation Districts (NACD) Agricultural Lands Resources Committee.
- Former NACD alternate director for Texas.
