2009 Summer Teacher Workshop

Several teacher workshops are held each summer for any teachers interested in conservation and natural resource issues. The workshops are help in various parts of the state in cooperation with the TSSWCB. Teachers are able to get their required continuing education units (CEU), while experiencing nature and the outdoors. Workshop is TBD for Summer 2009:

Teacher's Workshop in Conservation of Natural Resources

Hosted by: Pedernales Soil and Water Conservation District

This conservation workshop is held at the Franklin Family Ranch in Blanco, Texas. Topics covered will be soils, the water cycle, plants in the Texas Hill Country, prescribed burning, wildlife biology, and more. Registration fee includes lodging, meals, and workshop materials. Teachers of all grade levels will benefit from the valuable information in this workshop.

Franklin Family Ranch When: June 9-11, 2009

Where: Franklin Family Ranch; Blanco, Texas

Cost: $200 - Scholarships may be available through your local Soil and Water Conservation District.

CEU's: Program approved by the State Board of Education Certificate Registration #500210, 16 hours of professional continuing education units.
