Water Use Survey Instruction & Forms

There are two groups of surveys sent out each year: Municipal survey group and Industrial group. Each survey form contains an Instruction & Question sheet and an Answer sheet to return. The links below will describe more details for each survey category and allow you to view or download the PDF or Excel version of survey forms for all survey groups.

Survey Category

• Municipal Water Use Survey:
  
  • Municipal Survey (Legal Size): The municipal survey forms are sent to the public water systems in the State of Texas. For those who are holding water rights issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), an additional form from the TCEQ to collect rights permitting information is sent along with the TWDB's survey.
  • Municipal Survey Short Version (Letter Size): Shorter version of municipal survey forms are sent to the commercial and institutional facilities and Mobile Home Parks (MHPs) to reflect their limited water use.
• Industrial Water Use Survey:
  • Industrial Survey (Legal Size): The industrial survey forms are sent to manufacturing, steam electric, mining facilities with annual water intake greater than 2,000,000 gallons.
  • Industrial Survey Short Version (Letter Size): Shorter version of industrial survey forms are sent to small manufacturing, steam electric, mining facilities with annual water intake less than 2,000,000 gallons.
